West London NHS Trust’s services remain unchanged following a re-inspection by the Care Quality Commission. – Radio Jackie

The trust, rated ‘good’, serves people in the boroughs of Hounslow, Hammersmith and Fulham and Ealing.

This inspection was conducted in response to information received and concerns found during a previous inspection.

CQC investigated the trust’s mental health telephone triage service and two community-based crisis assessment and treatment teams.

They support people aged 18 and over who are in a mental health crisis or who require intensive home support.

Inspectors did not re-evaluate the service following this inspection.

People using the service felt heard and included in their care, and found staff to be understanding, calm and caring.

However, the report also revealed that some patients at Hounslow CATT had no safety measures or contingency plans in place.

Dr Christopher Hilton, Chief Operating Officer for Community and Specialist Services at West London NHS Trust, said:

“We are delighted to maintain our overall rating of ‘Good’ following the recently announced intensive inspection from the CQC for our Mental Health Single Point of Access (SPA) service and Crisis Assessment Treatment Team (CATT). think.

“Feedback from the report indicated that service users felt that our staff listened to them and that our staff were supportive, caring and understanding. We are also pleased that inspectors commented positively on our examples of learning, improvement and innovation.”

“We welcome this feedback and will respond quickly to the recommendations as we aim to provide the highest quality of service to the West London community.”
