Drive learning and performance improvement across your organization. This role guides the Performance Team Analysts in ensuring that information is insightful, focused, accessible and aligned with CQC’s objectives and plans. Ensure performance analysts have the skills and support they need to perform their roles. Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to remove team-induced roadblocks and hold teams accountable for their performance.

You will be an experienced analyst who uses your knowledge and skills to drive effective use of performance data across the organization. The successful candidate will have experience communicating technical and complex performance data to a wide range of stakeholders across the organization and will support analysts in translating requirements into technical expectations.

The post holder will be part of the broader performance team comprising Risk, Assurance, Economics, Performance and Resources. They will have the opportunity to work across these disciplines on projects that have real impact for our organization. The post holder should expect to demonstrate leadership in the area of performance most of the time. This role is responsible for ensuring Matrix Working supports our goals as a Board. This means working closely and proactively with managers across performance functions.
- Ensure teams and work are aligned with CQC and wider performance team priorities and have appropriate resources to deliver on plans and commitments.
- Leads the development and maintenance of performance products/product components that meet CQC needs.
- If this poses a risk, it will be escalated to the practice manager.
- Set realistic but challenging goals and hold your team accountable for those goals.
- Support the implementation and integration of the performance framework within your team and wider CQC colleagues.
- You will identify and support the learning and development of colleagues across the team, looking both within and outside of CQC.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to build strong relationships and recognize and address interdependencies that can impact work, projects, and goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the performance department to support the development of robust performance measurements that align with CQC’s strategic objectives.
- Ask users for feedback and ask if the information is of high quality, in line with best practices, and adds value.
- Our extensive team proactively improves our information and services based on evidence.
- Elicit product component requirements from stakeholders, translate CQC needs into detailed, actionable requirements, and regularly review these to ensure continued relevance, accuracy, and organizational priorities and performance. Ensure consistency with the framework.
- Effectively communicate performance information to the broader organization through a variety of channels including presentations, demonstrations, meetings, and written report support.
- Enabling your team to deliver high quality, fast service
- Oversee and improve robust QA processes and take ownership of information and quality.
- Collaborate with quality improvement colleagues to identify improvement priorities and data requirements.
- Work closely with other information and data hubs such as finance, human resources, and data and insights.
- Proactively identifies and resolves delivery bottlenecks identified by teams escalating to other teams as necessary.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, provide deep knowledge and insight to team members, and stay informed of changes and best practices to ensure team knowledge is always current and relevant. Masu.

Required skills and experience:
- Evidence of building or supporting high-performing teams
- Experience managing teams, prioritizing resources, and managing and escalating risks.
- Professional quantitative analysis skills.
- Basic qualitative analysis experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of information to inform senior decision making.
- Presenting information for decision making
- Using evidence to influence decision makers.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and structure data for analysis. Good understanding of industry best practice data modeling patterns and standards.
- Experience working flexibly in multidisciplinary teams with the ability to relate well to colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment with limited supervision.
- Some knowledge or experience with quality improvement methodologies and processes.
- A practical understanding of risk and issue management.
- Interact well with people from diverse organizations.
- Practical understanding and application of project management.
- Demonstrated ability to tailor communication style in a manner that is most appropriate and persuasive to the audience.
- Experience using business intelligence software such as Power BI.
- Extensive experience using MS Office 365 and applications such as Excel, Power Point, Word, and Teams.
- Degree level education or equivalent experience.
