responsibility:
Collaborate with stakeholders and teams within the department to scope, coordinate, and shape complex work to meet the needs of the organization.
Oversee and optionally perform analysis to extract relevant information and insights from multiple data sources and present them in a clear and actionable manner.
Design and supervise qualitative data collection, including primary research as appropriate.
Design and develop compelling visualizations and reports to communicate and highlight your insights and data.
Identify and combine data, tools, and methodologies to deliver the insights you need.
Advise and influence stakeholders to ensure output is fit for purpose and delivers the required results.
We ensure that the design and delivery of our data and insight services and products reflect the input of the public and those who use our services.
Represent CQC externally. Collaborate with and influence relevant external stakeholders as appropriate.
Leads relevant strategic or operational relationships across CQC and externally.
Lead large-scale analytical projects and efforts including:
-Responsible for defining analytical work requirements.
– Ensuring the application of appropriate methodologies.
– Ensuring best practices in data selection and use.
– Undertake, lead and monitor the implementation of analysis, synthesis of findings, presentation and dissemination as required.
We help operations professionals take full advantage of Data & Insight’s self-service offerings and apply best practices for using insights in decision-making.
Design and implement appropriate quality control and assurance to deliver output.
Provides direction and guidance to colleagues and juniors as required, including line management and team development.
Drive a strong data culture across CQC in line with the organization’s data strategy.
Models inclusive behavior in daily interactions.
Understand your personal responsibility in promoting a culture of respect and fairness and countering CQC’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.

Required skills and experience:
Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
Professional qualitative analysis skills.
Basic quantitative analysis experience.
Experience and knowledge of qualitative primary and secondary research methods. Research experience should span a wide range of audiences, including senior stakeholders and patient organizations.
Experience managing large amounts of qualitative data using computer-assisted coding software.
Proven ability to lead a team in applying a variety of methods to analyze data and integrate results.
Experience working flexibly in multidisciplinary teams with the ability to relate well to colleagues and other stakeholders.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment with limited supervision.
Experience reconciling conflicting views and articulating a consistent basis for action.
Ability to identify issues and lead in providing solutions and preventive measures, escalating as necessary.
Demonstrated ability to understand stakeholder needs, manage stakeholder expectations, and influence at all levels regarding the use of data and insights.
Demonstrated ability to tailor the delivery of insights, including storytelling and visualization, in the most appropriate and compelling manner for the audience.
