The sale of a popular care home in Dorset has been completed.

Chrisie & Co, specialist commercial property advisers, have completed the sale of the freehold of Two Cedars Residential Care Home in Broadstone.

Two Cedars is a CQC rated ‘Good’ business and occupies a two-storey refurbished extension with 17 en-suite single bedrooms. The home benefits from a full-time manager and a dedicated team of staff, many of whom have been with the property for many years.

It has had the same ownership for the past 23 years and was put on the market as a retirement sale.

Following a confidential sales process with Charles Phillips of Christie & Co., and with funds raised through Neil Collins of Christie Finance, the home will be built next to two care homes, Park Lodge in Poole and St. It was purchased by Mrs. Vimla Heeroo, owner of Leonard’s Abbey Rose.

Vimla Heeroo, new owner of Two Cedars, said: “I had been looking for another care home for some time and when Christie & Co approached me about Two Cedars I felt it was perfect. There are very good synergies between our two homes and we look forward to building on Two Cedars’ good reputation in the local area.”

Charles Phillips, Director of Healthcare at Christie & Co, added: We wanted to maximize sales prices and make the sales process smooth. We believe this has been achieved through a confidential and targeted marketing process. We thought this house would be an ideal purchase for Vimla and are delighted that the sale has been agreed. There is strong demand for similar sized and larger care homes in the region, with Dorset and the South consistently popular with buyers. ”
