The care group has acquired two further care homes in Yorkshire. This was less than six months after we acquired our first home in the area.
The acquisition of The Millings in Bedale and St John’s in Kirk Hammerton in North Yorkshire brings the total number of properties owned by Constantia Healthcare to nine.
This follows a series of recent acquisitions by Beverley-based Care Group.
The family-run company acquired two properties in West Yorkshire in October 2023 – Linson Court in Batley and Manor Croft in Dewsbury – adding to its existing three properties in Middlesbrough and two in Lancashire. .
Millings and St John’s, which has been rated excellent by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), was acquired from another family-owned business for an undisclosed sum.

The Millings is a 36-bedroom house in a renovated 400-year-old rectory in Bedale, and St John’s House is a 110-year-old renovated home with 34 bedrooms in the village of Kirk Hammerton, near York. people can live there. Old school building in Tudor style.

Funding for the recent acquisition was provided by Nash Business Capital and legal support was provided by Clarions Solicitors in Leeds.
Nick King, Finance Director at Constantia Healthcare, who managed the acquisition process, said: “These homes fit into the group’s acquisition brief and complement our other locations and services.
“All new homes are located within an hour’s drive of the group’s other homes in the North East, North West and West Yorkshire.”
